What does Bomence actually stand for?
Bomence stands for joy, freedom and progress!
It is an English combination of bicycles and commence. The B also stands for bags. Our products are designed for outdoor cycling as well as for city life. The fun factor for the journeys is essential.
Because we celebrate love for life as a whole, love should find and express joy in all ways.
You can see our passion for cycling in the strong colors, the clear design and the visibility factor (or in the case of the new bicycle bells: audibility factor) of the products.
Cycling is the way and we celebrate the way! Destinations get boring after a while ;-) So get ready! Let's go!
Are the bike bags sustainable?
The idea of sustainability is an integral part of the Bomence brand.
Our intention is to offer products that are as environmentally friendly as possible and that do not leave any harmful substances such as PVC or PFC behind on people or nature. We use textiles made from recycled PET plastic bottles or materials that are durable and can be reused or recycled.
Only 3% of our products are collected due to defects and disposed of professionally and sustainably. This way we reduce waste to a minimum.
At the same time, we operate in an environmentally friendly and fair manner. This means that from the idea of the products for cycling to the delivery of the goods to the customer and beyond, we find solutions to promote more sustainable business. Be it in the use of materials, packaging, the choice of transport and the organization of the business.
We are aware of our impact on the environment and society and always choose meaningful and sustainable service.
Are the bags waterproof?
Bomence's pannier bags are 100% waterproof thanks to a sealed TPU and PU coating.
The rolltop backpacks with double PU coating are highly water-repellent. They can withstand short-term rain (approx. 30 minutes). However, unlike the TPU coating, moisture can penetrate if it is constantly in contact with water.
I can't wait, when will my product finally arrive?
The founder of Bomence offers customers the opportunity to choose between fast or slower delivery.
Customers who want fast delivery can add a shipping upgrade at checkout and receive priority processing and shipping.
Customers who want free delivery or who consciously support slow consumption will receive their goods within 1-2 weeks.
After shipping, we will send you an email with tracking information for the product as soon as it is on its way. You will receive this shipping confirmation 1-2 working days after your purchase. You can use the tracking number to track your delivery.
If the status of the shipment has not changed for a few days, you can contact us directly and we will be happy to check with the shipping company for you. Write us an email at service@bomence.de or use the contact form .
Is shipping free?
Yes, shipping is free for addresses in Germany. There is an optional shipping upgrade for fast shipping. This option costs between €2.99 and €5.90 per product for Germany. For Austria and other regions, shipping is also free for most products. Here, too, there is a shipping upgrade for fast shipping. The costs for this can be seen at checkout.
In addition, shipping to other EU countries as well as shipping upgrades (fast shipping) are between 2.99 euros and 20.00 euros, depending on the product and product size.
The exact shipping costs for the respective countries outside of Germany can be seen before payment confirmation.
For shipments outside the EU, the buyer may be liable to pay customs duties and import sales tax to local authorities or logistics companies.
How can I wash my bags?
The best way to wash is to use a washing/scrubbing brush and brush the bike bag with warm water and soap or alternatively use a washcloth and wipe.
Machine washing is not recommended.
My bag is broken, what should I do now?
If your bag has become defective due to quality defects or parts have broken, we offer a free repair service (maximum duration: 14 days) or replace the bag within the first 2 years.
Alternatively, we can supply replacement parts for a fee. If a bag breaks due to wear and tear or accidentally, even after 2 years from the date of purchase, please feel free to contact us.
We strive to provide excellent service and find a solution together. The best course of action is decided individually for each product.

How should I store the bag when I am not using it?
Our bike bags can be stored upright without tipping over. You can leave them near your bike or in the basement/storage room and fill them with bike accessories such as a pump, repair kit or outdoor equipment such as a sleeping bag, inflatable sleeping mat, etc.
The bag can also be stored empty hanging or lying down in the closet. In order to continue to treat the shape and material gently, we recommend not bending or folding the bags. The bags should also not be exposed to direct sunlight or strong heat, as the color and shape could change.

How can I request a return for a product?
In addition to the statutory 14-day cancellation period, we grant an additional 16 days to return the purchased product.
You should submit a request for return or exchange within this 30-day period. You then have 14 days (for returns within Germany) to send the product back.
For foreign countries, a deadline of 30 days applies after the return request has been received. To do so, simply send an email with your address and reason to service@bomence.de or send a request via the contact form .
Once the product has arrived and the product is in unused condition, we will refund 100% of the purchase price.
The customer bears the costs for return shipping.
I have my own shop and would like to offer Bomence bicycle bags.
We offer our bicycle bags at wholesale prices on two well-known online wholesale platforms.
Please contact us and you will receive a voucher for your first purchase via the recommended platform. Write us an email to service@bomence.de
We can also offer other products such as printed bags and rain ponchos for B2B customers. Please send us an inquiry with the quantity (from 200 pieces).
Where are Bomence products manufactured?
Both the bags and the rain ponchos and accessories are manufactured in the People's Republic of China in order to be able to offer our customers the lowest possible price.
When choosing materials, Bomence pays particular attention to sustainable and recycled or recyclable materials, e.g. according to the GRS standard (Global Recycled Standard tested by TÜV Rheinland China, see also this blog post ).
We commission an independent quality control on site for each new production before accepting the goods from Bomence.
In Germany we check the quality again so that we can always deliver a flawless product to our customers.
The cooperation with our partners in China is very close and friendly. At the same time, we ensure that the working conditions are appropriate and the employees are satisfied. (e.g. through ISO 45001 certification - occupational health and safety management & ISO 14001 - certified environmental management systems)
We take our responsibility for our impact on the global economy seriously and see ourselves as part of a more sustainable economy with social impact.
How long can the colorful rain poncho withstand rain?
Both the colorful and the XXL rain poncho have a water column of 8000mm.
This means that after 1 minute, 3 drops of 8 meters of water (in a column) penetrate the tissue.
According to the European standard EN 343:2003 (“Protective clothing against rain”), a product with a water column of 800 mm or more is “waterproof (class 2)” and 1,300 mm or more “waterproof (class 3)”. Top tents are considered waterproof from 1,500 mm and tent floors from 2,000 mm according to DIN.
It is said that a rain poncho with 8000mm water column can withstand about 2-3 hours of heavy rain.
